Abstract
These kinds of photographs are everywhere, and the slower we move the more likely we are to see them. Its only occasionally that photography and going for a drive go together. More often than not we see nothing from the car. You have to get on your feet and get walking. Walking is a slow means of getting around and quite automatic, which leaves all the senses free to participate in the surroundings. When we start to pay attention to details then we can see the beauty in everyday scenes, and we don’t have to go far for them. One of these photos was taken in an exotic location, fantastic Petra in Jordan. All the rest were taken in more ordinary locations just a few minutes walk from home in Montreal or on Dartmoor in South West England when I lived there.
